Memories and Regrets

Memories come and go along,
Like shadows on the wall.
Lived my life full of regrets,
“I couldn’t do it all.”

If I could I would,
But I can’t.

Chase away the bad times,
From the gardens of my mind.
Protect the produce,
And savor my sane thoughts.

If I could I would,
But I can’t.

My mind won’t let go,
It poisons my heart and soul.
Infecting me from within,
The darkness spreads and the night sets in.

I want to run away,
Back into the light.
Cleanse and purify,
Make everything right.

If I could I would,
But I can’t

How'd you like a mouth full of broken noses?
